David Thomas

David Lloyd Thomas was born in Seneca, SC. He is the son of a Baptist minister, Harry Lee Thomas. David is widowed to Fran and he is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte; Texas Christian University where he received an MA degree; Southwestern Baptist Seminary with an Master of Divinity degree. David’s law degree is from the University of South Carolina.

He serves as a Sunday School Teacher, a teaching role he has held for 29 years, at Calvary Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC.

David is also on a number of boards of Directors. He is a member of the Board of Palmetto Pride, the State’s anti litter effort. Also he serves on the Board for two religious entities in Greenville.

David is a reader and has published an on line book, with more coming. The book is a novel about Biblical ideas concerning prophecy in a political futuristic context; The title is “Tick: The Countdown (Tick, Tock, Boom: The Trilogy Book 1).” David has a weekly radio talk show on the law on Saturday at 9AM, called Legal Talk, on 94.5 FM.

David practices broadly in the areas of personal injury, criminal and business law. David is a consumer advocate and often fights for the rights of the average person against heavy odds.

David served the citizens of Greenville County for 28 years in the SC State Senate and has received many awards and honors including the Order of the Palmetto which is one of the highest honors given by the State of South Carolina.
